FAIRY
Гигантская скульптура, но при этом легкая, как летящая фея. Новый опыт в моем творчестве по обработке дерева. В этот раз мне в руки попался дуб!
Одно бревно длиной 5 метров было распущено на три куска. Из центрального получилась Фея. Дуб мне достался свежеспиленный, то есть мокрый. Может быть поэтому пилить его было очень приятно. Я как будто дышал влажным дубовым соком всё время, пока работал.
Кого-то может смутить факт, что я работаю с влажной древесиной, но меня это не пугает. Наоборот, для меня это своего рода азарт - предсказать, где могут возникнуть трещины или деформации, и предотвратить их, или наоборот, усилить, если этого требуют обстоятельства.
“Фея" - вторая моя 5-метровая скульптура, но она гораздо сложнее первой в исполнении. Находится в запасниках коворкинга “Ясная Поляна”.

A giant sculpture, but at the same time has a small weight like a flying fairy. This is my new experience in my work on wood cutting. This time I got an oak log!
One log 5 meters long was dissolved into three pieces. The central one turned out to be a Fairy. The oak I got was freshly sawn, which means it wet. Perhaps that was the reason it was very pleasant to carve it. It was like me breathing moist oak juice all the time during my work.
Someone may be confused by the fact that I'm working with wet wood, but it doesn't scare me. Another, for me it is a kind of excitement-prediction where could appear cracks or deformations which needed to prevent them, or vice versa, to strengthen if circumstances require it.
